It is possible to watch a downloaded film on your television. All you have to do is connect your computer to your TV, using our guidelines.
-
1. Check that your computer has a port labelled “TV out”. There are 4 different kinds of “TV out” ports:

If your “TV out” port is not HDMI, check that your Sound Card includes an Audio Out in mini-jack format (like the one for plugging headphones into an mp3 player).

If your computer has one of these 4 Video Out ports, and an Audio Out in mini-jack format, you can connect it to your TV.
Check that your TV has a Video In and Audio In port compatible with your computer.
It must be either a HDMI port, a SCART port, an S-Video port, or a composite port.
A variety of connections are then possible:- If you have an HDMI port on your computer, and an HDMI port on your TV, you can connect your computer to your TV with an HDMI cable.
- If you have a DVI port on your computer with an audio port for Mini-Jack, and an HDMI port on your TV, you can connect your computer to your TV with an HDMI cable + a DVI-HDMI adaptor + Mini-jack – RCA Audio cables (red and white).
- If you have a computer with an S-Video+Mini-Jack audio port, and a TV in SCART port, you can connect your computer to your TV with a SCART adaptor + an S-Video cable + Mini-jack-RCA Audio cables (Red and white).
- If you have a composite TV Video Out (yellow) + Mini-jack audio and a SCART TV in port, you can connect your computer to your TV with a SCART adaptor + Mini-jack – RCA Audio cables (red and white).
