Actor Daniel Coulombe (Lothaire Bluteau) is approached by a Montreal priest to breath new life into the parish's banal Passion play. Excited by the scope this production could yield he calls on a group of old friends to join him in putting the piece together. But once the catholic church sees the more vibrantly sexual take on the story they begin a campaign to put an end to its continuation.

Beautifully filmed by Guy Dufaux, who captures an eerie look for a candlelit scene of the Passion play and also makes a subway platform look suitably garish.
Caryn James, The New York Times -
Even if you're normally scared off by things theological, this visually elegant, uncluttered movie is serious fun.
TimeOut London -
This Canadian gem, from writer-director Denys Arcand (The Decline of the American Empire), is a sharply perceptive satire of modern Christianity.
