Dead Long Enough is the comedic story of Ben Jones brilliantly played by Jason Hughes. Ben is a worn out, depressed, Welsh Lawyer who lives in the shadow of his larger than life, promiscuous, TV celebrity brother Harry Jones, played by Michael Sheen. Ben hankers after his lost love, the fiery red headed Irish colleen Sinead played by Angeline Ball. However in a fit of pique Ben decides to accept the marriage proposal from his brow beating, ball bustin' girlfriend Ceri Sian played by comedienne Baurunka O Shaunessy. So Harry decides that he must do something 'good' for his brother. In fact he must bring him back to Ireland where the boys had a great time in their youth. This act of 'generosity', and also a coincidental recce for a future Television programme, begins a series of events that will change their lives forever but 'in a good way' where everyone gets a second chance, sort of.

The film is definitely worth seeing for the great actors that fill up the screen. You get a real sense of natural comic genius between the two brothers and the policemen. Each bounce off each other with great with and charm. Sometimes it felt as if I was watching an unrehearsed, raw, yet brilliant play. Try and catch it on the big screen for the truly inspiring scenic shots also. A great film that’s well made by Collins. Check it out.
