JOEL CONROY from Dublin has worked in the film and television industry throughout Ireland, the UK, Australia & America as a producer and director since 1996.

Having successfully completed large-scale production projects for leading entertainment companies such as iCandy TV, MTV and FOX Family Networks (USA), Joel Conroy's first directing project was Eye of the Storm, a 52-min documentary co-funded by Bord Scannán na hÉireann /the Irish Film Board and RTÉ. It played to capacity audiences at the Stranger Than Fiction Film Festival Dublin in 2002 and was broadcast on RTÉ 1 (Ireland) and Odysée (France) in 2003.
His first feature documentary Waveriders (2008) won the Audience Award at its première in the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival 2008 and the inaugural George Morrison Feature Documentary award at the Irish Film and Television Awards in February 2009.
